Jay and his wife, Anne, co-founded the nonprofit youth organization, The Bridge of Storm Lake, in 2010. Currently he serves as the Operations Director and Youth Advocate at The Bridge. His commitment to empower youth that have come from challenging places drives his passion in his work and as a board member at UCHC. Jay Graduated from Iowa State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering. Jay and Anne stay active with their 5 children. He enjoys watching and playing sports, doing construction projects and taking care of the animals on his small farm. Jay has been a Board member since February/March 2019.

Lorinda Peterson is a dog kennel owner and operator at Camp Eddy in Alta and an EMT at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. She graduated from Iowa Central Community College as an EMT in 2004. She and her late husband Brent have one grown daughter. She enjoys spending time on her farm with her family, Boston Terrier, and the dogs she boards. Lorinda has been a board member with the United Community Health Center since February 2014.

Matt is a Chief Deputy Assessor for Buena Vista County and also works part-time at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center’s Fitness and Health Center. He is a graduate of Buena Vista University with a bachelor of science degree in biology with a biomedical sciences emphasis. Matt also holds a graduate certificate in professional fundraising from Boston University and a executive graduate certificate in nonprofit leadership from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. He and his wife, Katie, an occupational therapist at BVRMC, have three young daughters. Matt enjoys exercising, reading personal finance books and magazines, and spending time with family. Matt has been a board member at UCHC since August 2016.
